Southside Children’s Nursery is a custom-built nursery based in Nitshill, run by local people in the community. All of our staff are fully qualified with SVQ childcare certificates and are continuously training to provide the best care and support for your children. As a non-profit organisation, Southside puts all of its earnings back into the nursery to ensure that the children have the care and resources they need.
Our multi-purpose facilities cater to children of different ages: 15 spaces for children aged between 6 weeks and 2 years, 21 spaces for children aged 2-3 and 36 spaces for children aged between 3-5.

Flexible hours
At Southside Children’s Nursery, we offer flexible hours to suit you! This means that you only have to pay for the hours that you need your child to be looked after, instead of paying for a fixed set of hours that doesn’t suit your needs as a parent or guardian.
Materials for learning
At Southside Children’s Nursery, we have a range of educational materials which support the growth of fundamental skills needed at infant level. Basic numeracy, language and communication skills are nurtured in a supportive environment.
A custom-built nursery.
As a subsidiary of Greater Pollok Enterprise Trust, Southside Children’s Nursery was moved from Dove Street to Museum Business Park, where the nursery was custom built with your child’s needs in mind. There are a range of rooms and areas in the nursery to cater to children of different ages and different needs. There is also an outdoor play space to give your child space to run and play.
1140 hours government scheme
As a nursery in partnership with Glasgow City Council Education Services, all eligible children aged 3-5 years old can receive up to 23 hours of free nursery care every week for 50 weeks,

FAQs
Are the time slots fixed or flexible?
We are flexible! Whilst other nurseries require parents to book morning, afternoon or full-day slots, Southside Children’s Nursery allows parents to book the hours that suit them. For example, if you wish to book your child in from 9am-3pm, you can do just that. Other nurseries would require the parent to book a full day slot.
How do I arrange childcare once my child is registered with Southside Children’s Nursery?
You can make bookings by calling us on 0141 881 4888 or you can make reservations with us at the nursery.
Do the children receive meals?
Yes! We have our very own cook who prepares freshly made meals for the children.
Is the nursery accessible?
Yes! Our premises at Museum Business Park are just a short walk from Nitshill train station. We are also located just off of Nitshill road and there is ample parking for you when dropping your little ones off.
